CLOSURES: The Blanton is closed to the public April 23-May 3,2023, in preparation for the grand opening of our new grounds, and will reopen Thursday, May 4.  

Admission tickets are valid for any day and time the museum is open. Tickets to Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin are included with admission. Click here for hours.

FREE TUESDAYS – Effective May 9, 2023, visitors get free admission every Tuesday. Free Thursdays end May 4. Check-in required.

  • Parking: Paid parking is available at Brazos Garage. Blanton Members receive $4 discounted parking—bring your parking ticket to the Visitor Services Desk for payment. General visitors pay regular rates directly at Brazos Garage.
  • All museum visitors must check in at the Visitor Services Desk, regardless of member status or whether tickets have been purchased online ahead of time.

B Scene meets J Pop at this edition of Austin’s favorite art party. Join us as we celebrate Japanese pop culture through art, music, and more. Featuring Austin’s very own Japanese Comic Punk band Peelander-Z — who are guaranteed to rock our Rapoport Atrium with a lively and colorful performance. Plus, enjoy art talks, digital projections, creative activities, food & drinks, and plenty of style. Kanpai, y’all!

Admission tickets are valid 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays) on the selected date of visit. 

SECOND SATURDAYS: Tickets are required for this series. Go to our Second Saturdays ticketing page to purchase.

Second Saturdays

Every second Saturday, come hang on the Blanton’s new Moody Patio. Enjoy live DJ sets on the museum’s redesigned grounds and a variety of programs throughout the museum. Local food and drinks for sale; picnics encouraged. Galleries open till 8 p.m. 

Admission: $20, (Ages 6-17: $10; 5 & Under: Free). Blanton Members: Always Free. (Other discounts such as UT ID Holder, Military, K-12 Teacher, Senior do not apply)

Summer Professional Learning

Summer’s coming, and so are professional learning opportunities at the Blanton! We’re pleased to offer a variety of workshops that address our most-requested topics. The cost for each 3-hour workshop is $20 per participant. Participants will receive 3 hours CPE credits for their contributions to the workshop. Space is limited to 25 participants for each session, first come, first served. Don’t wait — sign up today!

  • Check-in: Plan to arrive early outside the Visitors’ Check-In to enjoy some refreshments and conversation.
  • Parking: Be sure to bring your parking ticket with you to the workshop to get it validated.
  • Afterwards: You are welcome to stay after the workshop to spend more time exploring the museum on your own.
