Social Issues in Art

Wednesday July 10

Other dates...

9:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

Artists often use their work to spark conversations about issues important to them – and to individuals, schools, communities, our nation, and our world. We will look closely at artworks that focus on identity, civil rights, justice, and resilience, exchange ideas about experiences connected to the art, and respond using a variety of strategies.

  • Check-in: Plan to arrive early outside the Visitors’ Check-In at the Smith Building to enjoy some refreshments and conversation.
